Areas of Expertise

Parents and Caregivers:

including parents and caregivers of individuals who identify as neurodivergent or as having special needs.  The focus of our work would be on understanding the multiple roles and levels of stress caregivers face as they provide the overall care and advocacy for neurodivergent children

Teachers:

including those who struggle to balance diverse students, administration, and commitment to the field of teaching.  These professional responsibilities can impact the ability to manage mental health

Infertility:

infertility often impacts how we view ourselves and may force us to create a new vision for our future.  The focus of our work would be balancing medical procedures, a lack of understanding from those around us, and the meaning of infertility on our sense of self can have a significant impact on our day-to-day functioning

Emotions:

including the struggle to identify, understand, and express emotions

Relationship Concerns:

including conflict with friends, family members, and employers

Life Transitions:

including parenthood, a new job, and a new school

Grief and Loss:

including miscarriage and infertility

Identity:

including parent/caregiver, non-traditional age college students, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, self-esteem and self-confidence
